“I Am That Child for a Better India”

Hosted in memory of Founder Trustee Late V G SIDDHARTHA, Season 5 builds upon the enormous success of earlier editions. The theme, “I Am That Child for a Better India”, reflects the core philosophy of empowering young minds with curiosity, leadership, and bold thinking.

Schools will compete in rigorous written preliminaries, leading to high-octane buzzer rounds and the grand amphitheatre finals. Full schedules, team participation guidelines, and tournament announcements will be released in due course.

Season 4 witnessed high-octane competition with participants testing their intellect across science, world affairs, history, and literature. Under the aegis of Pickbrain Giri and Rashmi Furtado, student teams battled through lightning buzzer rounds, connect puzzles, and rapid-fire questions.

The grand finale culminated with the presentation of the prestigious V.G. Siddhartha Memorial Rolling Trophy and medals of honour to the national champions on the open-air amphitheatre stage.

With teams competing across specialized domains including Indian heritage, geography, science, literature, and visual trivia, Season 3 demonstrated the rising stature of the VGS Memorial Quiz on the national school academic calendar.

Renowned actor and inspirational speaker Ramesh Aravind graced the occasion as Chief Guest, inspiring contestants on leadership and the boundless value of curiosity, while participating in a symbolic green sapling plantation on campus.

Growing the circle of young thinkers, Season 2 reinforced the school's commitment to intellectual inquiry and sportsmanship, encouraging students to think on their feet and explore beyond conventional syllabi.

A major highlight of the afternoon was Dr. Shashi Tharoor hosting the exclusive “Tharooropedia” round, challenging finalists with rich literary word puzzles and historical trivia that enthralled the packed amphitheatre.

Late V G Siddhartha believed that education should inspire independence of mind, entrepreneurial spirit, and ethical leadership. The memorial quiz was conceived as a living tribute to that vision — inviting students to celebrate the thrill of knowledge.

Hosted by Rashmi Furtado and Pickbrain Giri, the inaugural finals culminated in a thrilling climax with the champion walking away with a grand cash scholarship of ₹1,00,000.
